We offer a comprehensive view of the rental market, featuring historical rental prices, detailed property reviews, and ratings. Our efforts are particularly concentrated on Rent Pressure Zones (RPZs). We’ve identified over 1,000 properties charging rates over 2% in recent months, underlining our commitment to advocating for fair pricing. In an innovative move, we've transcribed over 15,000 Residential Tenancies Board judgements. This allows users to determine if a landlord or tenant has previously been involved in legal disputes, such as issues concerning deposit returns, evictions, or unpaid bills. While these reports are publicly available on the RTB website in PDF format(meaning that Google does not index the reports), we uniquely integrate them into our platform, making them accessible and viewable on HowMuchRent.com.
We firmly believe that rental charges and deposit handling require reform. We advocate for all rents charged by landlords to be public information and for tenants deposits to be held in escrow. The RTB was mandated to offer a Rental Deposit scheme 9 years ago(https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/arid-41315608.html), yet no action has been taken since. | Vesta Living have built a lot of apartments out here. There is many issues and resident support is awful. We recently went without and elevator for 8 weeks. Kitchen sink took 6weeks to replace. Hot water heater 2 weeks to repair. Intercoms are all faulty since initial installation in 2020 and no can receive post. The special extra amenities such as offices, gym and socialising areas are damaged and unused. The place is badly managed, cheaply run, just another American hedge fund investment to avoid corporate tax. There is very little support for residents at extremely high rent rates. Rents are increased at a minimum of 2% per year. Faulty fire alarm systems produce ear piercing activations almost daily throughout all.hours of the night.
